# ha ha
here's some questions I have assuming he wasn't already dead and on ice waiting to be reanimated in time for Obamas reelection. assuming this story is not bollocks:
1. Why kill him, there are a million ways to get someone out of a trapped compound alive. The way the russians handled the theatre seige with narco gas comes to mind.
2. they've been telling us he's been wanted for 10 years, why dispose of the body so quickly? is this usual in a crime scene?
3. they reckon the compound was 35 miles on the outskirts of the capital how near the sea is that for a sea burial?
4. why a sea burial?

the last time the americans 'rescued' someone from a compound though they used a grenade rather than narco gas.

# fair point
yet that doesn't leave much to bury at sea
and apparently they'd been watching him for months

# Hmm
Over 100 hostages died when the Russians gassed that theatre. Not a great example.
(, Tue 3 May 2011, 23:12, archived)
# ok
good point, I was just thinking if you have him under survelliance for months as they claimed surely they could have worked out a better way of getting him?

(, Tue 3 May 2011, 23:16, archived)
# I agree
That the whole thing sounds extremely suspicious. I gave up on The Truth a long time ago.

# Weren't 2, 3 and 4 answered yesterday?
That being: a) Burial within 24 hours is customary and b) you can't hold vigils and meetings in a dinghy.

# This is from what I read/some of my own smarts
1. Did you really thing he was going to come peacefully? He was going to go down with a fight. Even if they did get him peacefully it probably wouldn't help, he probably wouldn't have said a word. Making any kind of trial difficult.
2. The body was disposed of quickly due to Islamic laws. If no autopsy is required then the funeral should be held as soon as possible.
3. His body was flown to Afghanistan for ID (DNA and facial recognition) after that he was taken to the boat for a sea burial
4. They decided to bury him at sea so there was no physical final resting place. The worry was if he had a grave that it would become a shrine.
