They love that kind of thing there.
UPDATE: Though if it's what you also just posted on /links, it's quite pretty. Well done you.

I've tried more than once. They were surprisingly docile.
The best explanation for this is that I'm so dull I can tranquilise even that lot. Maybe I should change my username to "Morpheus".

if he didn't stop posting talk on /board

/talk is pretty much exactly the same as /board, except it doesn't have pictures and it's populated by a barely perceptibly different variety of twat.

I don't think it's any more in-jokey or cliquey than board.
It is, however, FAR less forgiving.

and would also suggest that the "less forgiving" aspect is something /board would do well to emulate.
Not that I want /board to turn into /talk, but it has gone a bit too far the other way. All sorts of unfunny shite is tolerated these days.

but /talkers do seem to have a fixation with other boards that isn't reciprocated.

I was thinking more of /talk excursions onto other boards. That doesn't seem to happen in the other direction.
Dunno. Maybe I'm wrong. Meh.

The thing is, whenever one board decides to "invade" another, it's only ever the people who only use the originating board who give a shit.
Whenever /talk invades other boards, only /talk cares. Whenever /QOTW or /board or /links say "HA HA HA HA HA, YOU SHOULD POST THIS ON /TALK" to a new person who doesn't know better, only /QOTW or /board or /links care. The only difference is that /talk users generally dish out their own abuse, rather than trying to manipulate other people into doing it for them.

If someone is told to go post something on /talk or is told by /talk to post something on /board, I don't care. Am I an exception to your analysis?

Nothing against /talk, I just prefer my banter with the occasional distracting image.
