[challenge entry] Lesser Known Vikings of History: Erik the Very Well Read
although not known for his pillaging abilities
Erik the Very Well Read was still respected for
his wealth of knowledge and razor sharp wit.

# i am not waiting for the pic to load
i am still laughing at the title...tee hee. top marks.

question: what would be the easiest way to get from leicester to stansted? train to london then, erm, horse and cart to stansted? i am from the north remember, the south is strange and scary to me.
edit: i can't drive. well alright i can, but i won't have a car.
(, Sun 7 Sep 2003, 20:41, archived)
# drive
there
edit: fly from east midlands to stansted....bingo

(, Sun 7 Sep 2003, 20:46, archived)
# your probably right
it just seems a bit silly flying such a short distance. you know, planes are meant to go into like, practically outer space.
edit: just checked. the don't go to stansted.

# stansted
is north of london, so any train you catch may possible go past stansted or at least may offer a connection someplace else
(, Sun 7 Sep 2003, 20:46, archived)
# just north eh?
hmmm...interesting
(, Sun 7 Sep 2003, 20:50, archived)
# not just north
possible a bit east as well... it's on the M11, you're on the M1, as I remember it
(, Sun 7 Sep 2003, 20:52, archived)
# seriously though
there is a direct train link from leicester to stansted...it goes through melton mowbray, oakham, ummm somewhere after that, stamford i think and takes you straight to stansted airport
(, Sun 7 Sep 2003, 20:52, archived)
# 'you are now approaching somewhere after that'
