Most people never knew
about the RAF's experimental bomber wing. Sadly they were all lost in combat, but it was the Lowly Worm Balloon Bomber Squadron that truly broke the back of the German war machine.

The Lowly Worms
fled Austria when Hitler took it over. They made their way over the Alps and on to Britain where they petitioned the RAF to allow them to launch attacks against their oppressor.
