tj - anyone know how to connect a (none-digital) camcorder to a PC, so i can edit videos on my computer? cos i just found a (quite old) camcorder, a ferguson videostar. its good though, and has connectors to scart etc. andy help?

in the good old days
i just remember my dad connecting it to the vcr and recording it to that. there is another cable, but iv no idea what it does :S

I have an old analog camcorder too
Tocapture I had to buy a expensive Pinnacle capture card (about £150) though they may be much cheaper now.

Dixons have USB to Video and Audio
for 30 - 70 quid.

Watching tv on a a PC TV card can be crap but it's worth it for NICAM audio. Ok for frame grabbing though.
