does anyone knowof a virus or worm or something that would:
a) cause ms paint to crash every time i hit 'save' or 'save as' (damnation, i just did a nice little piccy!)
b) cause my internet pages to freeze all the time
and c) stop taskmanager from opening?
I'M GOING CRAZY.

try searching for virus on googleif ie closes then I might have some way to help

From the start menu:start - all programs - accessories - system tools - disk defragmenter - defragment (don't bother analysing it)
You should go offline, close all programs and it will take anything from 2 to 10 minutes - the longer it takes, the more spazzed your drive was.
I do it once a week, and it seems to keep everything flowing freely
