# Seconded.
no really.

# YEEEESSSSS!!!!!!

# That is lovely
but I must jack this thread, seeing as the last one vanished.

Misheard lyrics (23) got 8 more votes than Boris Johnson (15).

What's the deal?

Even if I have miscounted slightly, I am pretty sure I am not that bad at counting.

# Mein Fuhrer Rob wanted Boris.
I imagine, in this undemocratic autocracy, the leader gets what the leader wants!

# Funny you should say that actually
as a few minutes ago I finally donated (a measly 5 quid then an extra tenner when I get paid on the 1st).

Think I might hold back on that tenner. =D

# Boris Johnson
is cool. He deserves his own compo.

Why doesn't everyone stop whinging and get on with it?
(, Fri 24 Sep 2004, 14:58, archived)
# Yeah, there really isn't much we can do now.
Just accept it, and try and make it fun! I'm sure Stick Figure Ninja can think of something!
(, Fri 24 Sep 2004, 14:59, archived)
# SFN will do well
with this. If people followed his example,
we'd all enjoy people compo's.
(, Fri 24 Sep 2004, 15:02, archived)
# no-one'll really get quite the same style as him though

(, Fri 24 Sep 2004, 15:03, archived)
# That's not the idea.
Don't copy his style, follow his attitude. He takes someone dull or ordinary, and makes it interesting. It's not rocket science. He is particularly talented too, which helps ; )
(, Fri 24 Sep 2004, 15:06, archived)
#
a) Boris is not cool, the same way Richard Whitely is not cool. Boris is a slow witted old fool.

b) I am whinging because the voting was a fix, which begs the point, why have a vote at all?
(, Fri 24 Sep 2004, 15:00, archived)
# Pffft.
Hahaha.
(, Fri 24 Sep 2004, 15:03, archived)
# Well.
As I see it, you have two choices.
a)Spend your afternoon whinging about it.
b) Carry on with life, shop some Boris and have fun with it or maybe don't, just shop something else, for fun.

This board is supposed to be fun. Whinging all afternoon will not make it fun.
(, Fri 24 Sep 2004, 15:04, archived)
# Whinging is what it means to be British.
I say MORE WHINGING LESS ACTION.

# top hole old been
we lost an empire once through inaction
and if it was good enough for grandpapa its good enough for us. Barh bluster
(, Fri 24 Sep 2004, 15:10, archived)
# correct me if I am wrong
but I pointed out that the voting was fixed (fact). You then whinged about what I said.

Off you pop and have some fun shopping your 'cool' idol.
(, Fri 24 Sep 2004, 15:06, archived)
# I didn't whinge.
My comment was about the general whinging going on.
I asked why it was a problem and then suggested that it shouldn't necessarily be an issue. I do concede that by continuing to post about it I am perpetuating the matter. For this reason I shall try to make this my last post on the matter.

I also suggest you email Rob about it if you are unhappy.

edit: Oh yeah, and whilst i'm sticking with Boris, I agree- Richard Whitely is in no way "cool".
(, Fri 24 Sep 2004, 15:09, archived)
# grand idea, that man.
I'll email now.

The email was polite enough though.

# because it keeps the masses happy
im sure no one else counts them

youre born you keep your head down and then you die - owt else is a bonus.

just remember that
(, Fri 24 Sep 2004, 15:07, archived)
# but surely if they wanted to keep the masses happy,
they would have chosen the compo idea which got the most votes, not the one that was a damn sight less popular...?
(, Fri 24 Sep 2004, 15:08, archived)
# the fact there is a vote keeps the masses happy
assuming no one counts it doesn't matter what they pick.
(, Fri 24 Sep 2004, 15:13, archived)
# poor assumption on their part really.
