it makes me want to have a blog, but I know mine would be even more mundane, and not in a good way

edit - it reminds me very much of Catch 22, which is meant as a compliment, and if you haven't read it yet, you should. If you put these stories into a book with Dr Seuss-like drawings, I would buy it.
