maybe because it's a freaking huge picture.
your problem is that you've just used an html tag to shrink the way it's displayed; you need to actually make a second, smaller image. the physical size should do most of it.

decreasing the dimensions will make it much smaller for a start... in the meantime could you link to it for the benefit of the dial-uppers?
