# That bit wasn't actually too difficult-
I just bunged the opacity of the layer down to 80% or so, so the colour changes on the placard itself showed through. The time-consuing part was clone-stamping away the "Bush/Cheney '04" on each placard in a way that looked plausible.

I also did this one, which I think works better actually;

I had to download an original photo and look for the differences. Squint your eyes and all the dark areas in the centre of the smoke is the normal B3ta Status Quo pose.
