Booster number 3 on the Ostrich Explorer hasn't ignited...
...oh, it's OK... he's off. Good Luck Big Fella!
edit - apologies for limited hummus... just had to get something made to break my photoshopper's block.

at the moment, tho arguably your hummus runs deeper, if monkeys are sent out there, why not ostriches, thats really the point here.

go to ratemykitten and give something extra legs/heads/teeth/eyes etc. you'll almost always think of something while you're doing it.

select your layer, and then either use the brush tool (set to clear) to smooth the edges as much as you like, or create a mask for the layer and do pretty much the same thing (with a normal brush).

but I think I can do it. I've been using the eraser tool and got it ok. but I mean... his ostrich has hair for god's sake.

I'd love to try and make one of my pictures using fireworks, maybe lots of coloured sparklers! :)

Talking of which though, aren't fireworks brilliant?

Use the feather marquee option, or just make sure the feathering is very high on the eraser tool.
Do you ever try masking areas? I like it because you can re-edit to your heart's content. It does take more time than any of the selection tools, though.

When you put pictures from b3ta on your own page, could you take the trouble to credit the person who made them, or even just give a link to b3ta?
It's the nice thing to do and I think anyone here would do the same. We're such a warm and fuzzy community.

then go round the hair/fur/whatever with an eraser set at 50% opacity or something, or you could just use feathering.
The thing is, the whole diffusion effect with fur is impossible to cut out; you have to re-create the effect with the available tools.
