you must be about as old as I am then.
I still remember 10p a go arcade games. Back when Mr Do's castle was the height of technology and marble madness revolutionised gaming with a large trackball.

Best thing was Greece though - back when they were using Drachma, our 2ps were precisely the same size as their 1 drachma coins. It was great - could get about five goes for tuppence. Till the manager caught you.
