the beer was about fiver a bottle, and she ended up drinking cocktails because a vodka/lime/lemonade came to 13 friggin` quid

seeing how the other half live, and all

as soon as she`d phoned the taxi and it was on its way, the boss came over and said "oh haven`t seen you much.. we`ve got a free bar over there you know"

"uh yeah, we`ve been here for an hour, spent about 50 quid and a taxi`s on its way" -- which is what I should have said

"oh. we have to get back. lovely reception" -- which is what she said
