half this country will cheer when she pops her clogs
the other half will be down the DHSS picking up their dole money from her legacy
(, Thu 13 Oct 2005, 12:38, archived)
and completely incorrect. like i said, it's wrong to wish death on anyone.
i bear no grudge.

you should just ignore them
I don`t profess to be any good at Photoshop; it`s just a bit of fun

It just points out that the inevitable is that bit closer.

however many things she got wrong, did a better job than her three predecessors and her two successors.
But I still liked the pic :P

you can't look for proof in the sun and secondly it is about opinion not proof, i am of the well informed opinion that that bloody woman raped and pilaged this country. not saying blair is even ok, but he is a prince compared to that evil witch and i am old enough to remember the thatcher years.
(, Thu 13 Oct 2005, 12:37, archived)
i think she saved this country.
you should never wish death on any though, it's just not right. I hate blair, but i don't wish death on anyone.
(, Thu 13 Oct 2005, 12:39, archived)
but if you think she saved this country, I think you have serious issues!

the unions needed curbing.
the working classes did not.
(, Thu 13 Oct 2005, 12:42, archived)
however the unions didn't get curbed until her second term.
(, Thu 13 Oct 2005, 12:43, archived)
either way, Thatcher took the country from the mercy of the unions and left it to the mercy of heartless corporations.
From one extreme to another.
and that's even before you start considering the 3 million unemployed and the rural communities that were completely destroyed by the pit closures

I lived in a mining town. There were flying pickets, thugs who physically menaced people out of money in the street to "support the cause". It had nothing to do with the working class or improving conditions, it was about power, as all these things are.
They were stupid, and she won. Shame the stakes they played were so high.
(, Thu 13 Oct 2005, 12:52, archived)
she was playing vendetta politics with the miners. She crushed them and their livelihoods and therefore those of their families and neighbours.
that's not a good way to run a country.
(, Thu 13 Oct 2005, 12:53, archived)
as I say, shame the stakes they played were so high.
(, Thu 13 Oct 2005, 12:57, archived)
EDIT: But not the fuck you thing. That's just rude.
(, Thu 13 Oct 2005, 12:41, archived)
I shall just celebrate it, in thatcher's case ;)
(, Thu 13 Oct 2005, 12:41, archived)
mind you i know plenty of people who do wish death on her! i don't know a more hated politician.
(, Thu 13 Oct 2005, 12:43, archived)
(who has caused genocide etc) but she isn't stupid, just evil
(, Thu 13 Oct 2005, 12:46, archived)
well i say country i mean the bit near the bottom, well i say bottom i mean the bottom right hand cornere, well i say that i meant anyone on over £50 grand, she created what we have today,
selling off council houses, milk from children, rich get richer, closure of mines, she started the destruction of the NHS. She set the ball rolling for everything tony blair is doing today. Privitisation, its getting away with murder.
no wonder ole denis took to the bottle!

I love this topic!
Go back further than the Thatcher 80s and examine what it was she was making sure would never happen again.
Apart from the milk thing (that was in the 60s when she was Education Secretary).

can't argue with insanity!
*backs away very very scared*
when you come from such obviously polarised points of view best not to discuss it, but you are the only person i know who thinks that. even my tory parents think she is evil (bless their senility) mind you apart from my parents you are the only tory i know too!
