It's a bit hard to see what you're trying to say.
Also, compo it harder and faster than it ever imagined it could be compo'ed.

and I suppose what I'm trying to say is summarised in the logo. I don't personally believe they're in the least bit repentant, but this compo wants me to shed a good light on them, so perhaps the fact that you can't tell what my true motives are is a good thing.

Nice to see you back m'laddo, you've been missed....

only kidding. Thanks :)
The other thing I noticed while making this is that excepting the pits and the bit about the economy, the same can be said for New Labour, which is vaguely depressing.
doesn't matter who you vote for, the government always gets in... etc.

...put a different logo under there and it could serve as a dutch election poster

Gotta love how "the loss of mining communities" are lamented by white-collar fuckwits. I bet you still wish 6 year olds were crawling up your chimney to clear out the soot .. better they get real jobs. Like Estate Agency, or kitten juggling.

because far more than the mining jobs were lost - the loss of mining jobs made entire local economies collapse, plunging many many people into hardship
not to mention the fact that they were given bugger all help finding new jobs, and the loss of their jobs was largely the result of a thatcherite vendetta against the miners.
thousands and thousands of people were adversely affected by those decisions and the Tories have never once shown any remorse for it whatsoever.

Ask a miner if he wants his son to be a miner. Speak from a real position, and not a rose-tinted idealist stance. Aye, Thatcher deserves death (repeatedly), but when it's cheaper to bring coal to the UK from Australia than to dig it out our own soil, I couldn't give a XXXX for the pits. Now if they had opened up biomass farms and retrained the miners to grow this, I'd have been a lot happier also.
