the 30² has no relevance as far as i can see. However, 3 x 10⁸ is the speed of light in a vacuum (in ms^-1) aaand... a few equations include the term c²... the speed of light squared..

no idea where the 30 is from though :S 30² is 900... afaik its of no relevance to this context o_O
