The Fens are generally found to the south of Lincs, Cambs and Norfolk.
They are a notoriously flat, drained bog type landscape. It is said that this is where most of the inbred people live.
Saying that, I have lived down a very nice Fen Road indeed where noone was inbred, it wasn't very muddy at all. It was a bit flat though.
