This already reminds me of the Kenny Loggins challenge
all I can say is that these style of compos are some of the most freeform and allow for some of the greatest work because it's the perfect starting point with little restriction.
You just need to encourage people to try and avoid the obvious.

it's just challenges like this fall into the bandwagon style easier so it just seems like it's worse than usual.
