people who are calling it a civil liberty are being daft....
all they are doing is allowing you to prove it is you...
If they've pulled you over then you have to identify yourself anyway... regardless..
at least this way, if some fucker (or friend) has nicked your car for a bit,
they know its not you driving the car when they get pulled over..
although i think it is a precursor to the ID cards coming in :-/
