And the New Mitchell and Web Show being less funny than it should have been.. (Although their old Sketch show was superb)

They are Very Funny...
But don't you think Numberwang/Snooker chaps and some of the others might have been Funnier and more effective appearing less often in the series rather than every time?

The first Episode was Ace though.

The snooker blokes turned up in several episodes of the radio show too.
And it's not as if they were just there trying to crowbar a catchphrase in. they started off with 'oh and that's a bad miss' but they were there as characters with different things each episode.

It's not the same as a contrived set-up just to wind your way to a catchphrase.

See also Ted & Ralph - repeated characters, repeated phrase (the drainage in the lower field) but it wasn't all about the catchphrase.

I think they did a bit in the TV series.
But I still think it's not the same thing as Tate or Little Britain. There's nowt wrong with re-using characters if you enjoy writing for them.
