there was nothing good about that episode
except the tardis/taxi chase

which was the only bit 'leaked' to the press and fans etc before it was shown

I only caught fleeting moments of it,
but every time I managed to get a look, there she was mouthing off or shouting

I'm also a geek
but even I have my pride. ;) ( psst, I'm only joshing, you watch what you like. I simply missed it as I was pissed )
Speaking of geeks, have you sen the shows on BBC 4 'the cult of..."? They are mulling over the ropey old Sci fi shows that the BBC made in the 70's. It was Adam Adamant the other night, Star Cops last night and Survivors tonight. Christ I'm old, and geeky.

I truly don't remember it
myself, and I don't know why not. There was another one, Tripods, apprently ran for 2 series in the 80's and I have no recollection of it, mind you I'd have been in my 20's and never out of the pub I expect ( or in the army )

Oh, Tripods was really good.
But they only did the first two books of the trilogy. I'm part of a generation of geeks who are bitter at the BBC for never finishing what they started.

i disagree.
the story was weak
the spider-woman thing made me laugh (why didn't she move?)
catherine tate was mouthy and irritating.
i'm coming to the conclusion that all episodes written by russell t davies are shite.

Billy Piper made Dr Who
even though she was just his assistant. It's sad she left. It was still crap but bearable with her in it.

No no no, the only thing she'll EVER be good in is a Coffin.
Perhaps an urn.
