that the compression should possibly be a little higher on that picture, because 75k is quite big for a 280x258 image.

If you've got lots of colours and detail, or the image is more than 400 pixels in each dimension, JPEGs usually do the job better. Smaller, low colour/low detail images are better presented as GIFs

if I still had an army of whiners waiting to pounce on me once again. And I gave a thankful response to you. I got dragged into something pretty pathetic down there, but I felt obliged to at least uphold my point. I thought the one originating post I made was benign in itself. If not for all the people who saw that as an opportunity to white, the board would be looking much nicer around about now.
