HELP!
How does one set transparency in a gif in photoshop?

it asks you when you
save it.

set your pic to index colour
then export as gif.
little window comes up, use dropper to select the colours in the pic you want transparent.
save it.
(this is in PS 5.02, or search the web or
RTFM)

make sure the background is
transparent (checkers) and then set the transparency option when saving for web and select "none" as the canvas colour.
