Though my issue has more to do with them wanting to charge me £1 a month for the 'privelage' of a fully itemised bill (I live in a shared house where the phone is used by the others too) and their online customer service/billing stuff is shite.

I tested out the theroy that it's just your taste buds getting used to the flavour that makes it fade. My GF chewed some gum for about half an hour then I had a chew (omfg spit share!) and it tasted of virtually nothing.
