don't be silly
there is no such animal as a panther.
the word probably comes from the sanskrit for whitish yellow, pandarah, which was probably originally applied to a tiger.
the greeeks borrowed the word and adapted it to panthera, meaning 'all beasts'. they used it to describe mythological beast as well as real animals.
scientifically speaking all four of the big cats are panthers.
the lion is 'panthera leo', the tiger 'panthera tigris', the leopard 'panthera pardus and the jaguar 'panthera onca'. they are the onlt cats that roar

Making it pink out of a black one was more difficult than I imagined
I was constantly avoiding it looking too magenta
meh
hence the not worthy bit etc.

I know. I once tried to do the exact same
thing with the exact same source image. It's bloody hard making black pink without it looking washed out and crappy.

pssst
it's simple. desaturate the cat ( or get a good contrast copy off a channel layer ) then go to image/adustments/variations and choose your hue.
