I do believe..
that "it's self" is the olde worlde way of writing "itself". As in "of belonging to the self".
It is possible that I am full of ponky poo and I welcome any bilious retorts.

isn't "itself" just one of those words where the English language got a bit lazy and dropped all the punctuation?
