You can't compare them
They were completely different.

I meant you can't make a value judgement
If you like Tim Buckley more then that's just personal preference, but I don't think you can say either was better than the other as they were both fantastic at what they did. They both had completely different styles.
I don't mean to sound like I'm starting an argument....I'm really not

yep
no, I'm just being an arse :)
my view on JB is clouded by the fact that a guy I knew worshipped him, and he was a total knob

Oh, never a good start
He did some beautiful stuff, his best performances were when he was just on his own with his guitar. The Live At Siné EP is just him in a cafe doing his thing, lovely lovely lovely.
Tim Buckley scares me a little bit, I think it was Peanut Man that did it....my dad loves him though.

He was more of a cult phenomenon
And another one of those who became more successful after he died.
But he is generally regarded as being one of the most influential musicians of the 90s.

He didn't do country and western
Nor was he a junkie.
You're thinking of Tim Buckley, his dad. Died of an overdose etc.

That would explain the massive loyal fanbase
The hundreds of bands listing him as a primary influence, the tribute concerts, the memorials...

Yes, yes it does.
I got it all arse over tip, I was too young to know about him when he was alive, and I only found out he was dead after I'd fallen in love with Grace after recommendation from a mate, and THEN I cried.
