<-- frames from the video. This is only a very rough preview of what it might end up as, but I won't have time to finish it this week or maybe for a while (and I had to do this bit in Flash as I couldn't get the vids to load in anything else). Flash isn't designed for this sort of thing so it's tricky to get things neat and tidy.
It's 2 minutes though which is long enough for you to get the idea.

though for balance, I think Saddam and/or Osama should get equal screen time.

but luckily i was stuck with flash for now, I couldn't get any audio from the vids either.
I'm glad i've done this bit though to stop it nagging at me. :)

I'm still stuck in the silent era of animated gifs ...

It's not free ($49), but can be used without registration, and has all the basic features, I think. I haven't plumbed its depths, not by a long shot... it's here.

I should be able to use Premiere but it's stopped loading up properly and I've not spent the time trying to fix it.

i'd agree that flash isn't the best for doing video stuff, but that looks and sounds great.
distracted me from starting work for a few minutes too, yay

What did you use to make it?
EDIT: by golly the frontpage is tattyfilarious today.

but was pleasantly suprised, it's pretty limited but as long as you have the right videos prepared elsewhere you can use it to import and arrange. I couldn't split the videos, only cut them off at the end or put another layer on top. There might be more ways around it but i only started teaching myself mx yesterday.

and i can't draw, so i'll probably end up using it for all the wrong reasons like this.

I was wondering if you had used Premiere!
Still trying to get my head around file compression for avi to MPG, Quicktime and Real etc..
What do you find is the most efficient. So it's not too big and has a small frame size and is lossy?

i had problems getting really good compression though. I found a zip of m3tatween 2 with sound was about half the size which shouldn't really be the case.
I think the sound was part of he problem.
m3tatweening was put together in premiere then sound added in vegas, which let me use mp3 compression.

food for thought. I guess I'll just have to keep experimenting.
Thanks.

but the mashup mp3 is the mutt's nuts, really nicely done. The whole mash thing last year got to silly proportions, and as the quantity went up, the quality went down.
This one gets a big

from me though...

and i'd try and mix the first two. This video's been going around in my head ever since :)
