Right, something bad has happened to my pc. p
My anti virusfirewall software was not working or about an hour, and now I get a bluescreen every time I reboot my computer(as soon as I log on). Currently running in safe mode.
I tried doing a system restore, but apparently I don't have that kind of authority anymore ever since this virus or whatever it is has infected my system. How do I re-enable system restore? Any other suggestions? Thanks muchly for any help!

it's FREE, works a treat once installed and updated through 'options' - update.
probably one of the best little programs I've found
www.iobit.com/advancedwindowscareper.html
after you've updated it for the first time, the first sacn will takes AGES, but don't worry,
every scan after that, even with regular updating, goes by relatively quickly

I use spybot and adaware in case it slips through one.
But otherwise, I gots no idea what to do..
It might not be a virus though, could be a hardware issue if it runs in safe mode, I've had that before with a graphics card melting (literally)

I've killed plenty in my lifetime
It's becoming a hobby.

That's what they're there for.
Can you do a full system scan?
(, Thu 11 Oct 2007, 18:59, archived)
I've only been able to do a full system scan with adaware so far, since Mcafee isn't workiing.
Thanks for all your replies!

In my experience, it's quicker phoning tech support than anything else, but I'm sure other folk here will have different opinions.

Unplug the phone.
Cancel your ISP contract.
Sell your house.
Renounce your citizenship.
Move to the middle of the desert.
Then try again.
