If we didn't have rules, where would we be?

it ruined the illusion for me really.

shh
stop talking about it, they might forget.
I'm going to be a little gutted when the change happens here... although I think you'll be ok for a while... they're trying it out in a few Länder before going bundeswide.
Unfortunately, I've heard Thüringen is the first for the test.
Shite.
On a lighter note, the german government receives so much cash from tobacco companies that I think that any rules in place will be fairly soft in comparison to the undercover fag nazis in the uk :)

some Bundesländer already have the Rauchverbot, like Hessen
NRW, where I live, is to follow in January
(

ooh eck, I didn't know that...
hmm... I wonder what it actually means though. I think the germans are more reasonable than to ban smoking altogether and not having smoking areas or whatnot. I hope so... I'm just optimistic since the train stations are "Raucherfrei" but these signs are actually on ash trays in the little smoking area... I'm just hoping "Rauchverbot" follows similar criteria.
Really don't fancy going outside for a fag in the Jena winter.

noone gives a fuck about what you do at trainstations :)
but with pubs, you'll only be allowed to smoke inside if there's a separate room for smokers.
smoking 'in public' will be banned like it's in Britain I reckon...
