With the criminal case, it comes down to
six thugs saying I'm making it all up, versus me.
I repeatedly walked into a door, apparently.
My word against theirs. It appears I have to accept the beating, move out, lose my deposit, lose 2 weeks' rent and,
as the investigating officer put it, 'chalk it up to experience'.
(Landlord's dad is former local chief of police)
