then wet shave as I have not managed to buy a decent electric that is not a waste of money after a week. My beard appears quite tough.

and I always remember my dad swearing by his ( and they must have got much better ) I used to have a double foil Remington that was not too bad but as it got older I could not get foils ( which I go through quickly ) I then had a Braun which was not bad for that quick shave when you have no time but again, replacing foils just pissed me off so i became a devotee of using clippers for everyday and wetshaving if she insisted.
She just bought me new clippers ( or gentlemens grooming set as they call it ) which considering it was dirt cheap is excellent. |Cordless rechargeable, washable with titanium blades. Remington HC-600. That I can certainly recommend to anyone here.
Edit:/ there is an art to a proper wet-shave and you really should use luke-warm water and a gel then rinse with cold water. The trouble is it takes so bloody long to do it properly ( which means twice ) it is not always feasible. Plus with me I still get an horrendous rash around my neck no matter how careful I am or new my blades are. Also you can keep your fancy triple blade systems that cost a fortune and only last me 2 shsves. I have an old fashioned wilkinson sword that takes the standard double edged razor blade. Fantastic piece of kit and will never be bettered.

I do that too. I like to think it makes me look rugged and mysterious, in reality I just look homeless and unemployable.

I also grudge paying silly prices for razorblades. Disposable ones seem to bring me out in a rash
