# Can anybody check these and tell me if they're alright?
If I'm wrong, I'd better know before I revise from them..:S

# I know tim personally
and I can vouch that he has no distance over him.
(, Tue 8 Jan 2008, 18:07, archived)
# Haha
I had to check if I'd missed an "e" then!
(, Tue 8 Jan 2008, 18:09, archived)
# just in the title.
2 and 3 look correct, but I can't be arsed to remember enough about chemistry or biology to help you on 1 and 4.

# Bugger,
the only one I worry about is the one about hydrocarbons.
(, Tue 8 Jan 2008, 18:12, archived)
# The extent of my rememberances on chemistry can be summarized thus:

Johnny was a chemist
But his is no more
For what he thought was H2O
Was H2SO4

...but I doubt it'll help you.

# Why ozone?
1 doesn't look right to me... As it is, you're burning coal in a hydrogen+ozone atmosphere. What are you trying to represent? Generalised hydrocarbons?

# ^
normal air oxygen is O2
(, Tue 8 Jan 2008, 18:20, archived)
# Well it makes carbon dioxide and water.
CO2
and
H2O
Meaning there are three lots of oxygen in there..:S
(, Tue 8 Jan 2008, 18:21, archived)
# Or...
It might make CO2 + 2H2O, using 2O2... (hint: start from methane, CH4, and work from there)
(, Tue 8 Jan 2008, 18:25, archived)
# that's not how it works
CH4 + 2 O2 = CO2 + 2 H2O
2 C6H14 + 19 O2 = 12 CO2 + 14 H2O
for example

Edit: sorry, edited. I initially used fucking ">"

# Or just this:
Less confusing.
(, Tue 8 Jan 2008, 18:35, archived)
# better
I still find it somewhat confusing
because you write the component atoms of two molecules on the left side of the equation, but two molecule names on the right...
but meh

# Ok,
finished.

# are you sure it's O3 in the first one?

(, Tue 8 Jan 2008, 18:16, archived)
# That's exactly what I'm NOT sure about

(, Tue 8 Jan 2008, 18:22, archived)

# number 4
erm the last one is a little wrong too, it should be the chromosomes replicate, as in they double so there are twice as many. you have put divide, which would mean there are less. you need 2x as many chromosomes so each new cell gets the right number in the end :)

# Cool but...
.. i never knew lionel blair had met so many people and done so many things, thought he was just an old tapper.
(, Tue 8 Jan 2008, 17:47, archived)
# I never
thought about him.. that would have been funnier but he has probably met less people :)
(, Tue 8 Jan 2008, 17:49, archived)
# he's met everyone

(, Tue 8 Jan 2008, 17:50, archived)
# He should always have stuck to 'Give us a Clue'
No one who witnessed the show will ever forget the sparkle in Lionel Blair's eye as he received Free Willy from Michael Aspel for two minutes!
