S'triff, though.
And congratulations.
Unless you got into Derby. Then the opposite of that might be in order.

...Wales has a University. I should know, I created the Welsh nation in 2001.

When I applied the guy was off on holiday so they didn't update my offer until after the closing date for when you have to decide which you take!
(, Sat 12 Jan 2008, 22:34, archived)
And what's more is that they're both for low grades!
Thanks :)
fuck elephants

...I work there.
Wait, why would you care about that?
*goes all emo and hides in a dark corner*

Don't cry, I'll come visit you, maybe. Who knows...
(, Sat 12 Jan 2008, 22:10, archived)
I'm still waiting for an answer from Leeds, but they want me to go for an open day thing.
Had offers from Edinburgh, York and Salford though! :D
Congratulations btw. :)

I didn't submit my UCAS untill the 19th so these are my first offers.
What are you going to do?
(, Sat 12 Jan 2008, 22:00, archived)
So the entry requirments are fairly low, 'cause no one really likes physics. :D
How about you?
(, Sat 12 Jan 2008, 22:02, archived)
Because noone really likes physics.
(, Sat 12 Jan 2008, 22:04, archived)
I'll have to try and get something like that sorted then. :p

I think I spent it on beer in the first year.
(, Sat 12 Jan 2008, 22:10, archived)
Well I can't think of anything better to buy, to be honest. :p

I never stood a chance.

because I'm going to be the first person in my family to go to Universtiy.
(, Sat 12 Jan 2008, 22:11, archived)
Oh, and on the university offers.
(, Sat 12 Jan 2008, 21:53, archived)
Depending on where and what you've been offered, of course.
(, Sat 12 Jan 2008, 21:56, archived)
And this is the best bit; Leeds offered me BBB and Exeter offered me BCC for Biological sciences and Biochemistry respectably!

It's a while since I was in your position, and the Scottish education system is slightly different.
I have a friend at Leeds University! I must introduce you to each other.*
* I have a Facebook friend at Leeds University, I met him in 2006 while we were travelling. I haven't seen him since then, and I have no intention of introducing you to each other.

I've got to get the grades first. No easy feat in Chemistry Biology Physics and Maths. Well I'm finding it hard at least.
(, Sat 12 Jan 2008, 22:04, archived)
but that was Highers in Scotland, rather than A-levels.
The annoying thing was that I was expecting to get at least 3 As, and I was within 5% of an A in each exam. It was disappointing at the time, because it made it more difficult to do my first choice of degree. So I did something else instead.
What I'm trying to say is: don't be downhearted if your plans seem to fail, there will be plenty of other options available to you.

I originally wanted to do medicine, but by the time I was 16 I was going off the idea anyway because it looked like too stressful an occupation.
So I did pharmacy instead. I've been qualified for 10 years, and I desperately want to do something else with my life. Plus, I have genuinely proved that I was an idiot if I thought that being a pharmacist was going to be less stressful.
I may have just undermined my previous encouragement, but fuck it. I'll just try not to go into a rant about how much fucking pressure I'm under every day, and how little you pathetic cunts in the general public appreciate it.

Sorry to keep you so long. Would you like a paper umbrella in your methadone?
(, Sat 12 Jan 2008, 22:25, archived)
I'll be working in the NHS come September, so I expect I'll share your level of despression and unfulfillment.
(, Sat 12 Jan 2008, 22:27, archived)
That's the wisest way to start.
what's "despression"?
(, Sat 12 Jan 2008, 22:30, archived)
if anyone asks, it's a medical term known only to us professionals. It has nothing to do with poor spelling

I got into BSc Computing with a B and a C. And one of those was General Studies... This was 1998 tho. A Levels were harder back then.
