thanks.I finished reading Roadside Picnic. Seems like the use of the word "Stalker" isn't a coincidence, the game just changed the situation from aliens to chenobyl and left it at that.

essentially yes, and the film stalker is based loosely on it, and the people who go into chernobyl the actual scientists used to, and probably still do, refer to themselves as stalkersdid you enjoy it?

it was good when comprehensible.I wish people would spell-check these things after scanning them in though. Word-recognition programs are rubbish.
It was interesting to see how plots are set up differently in russian lit though.

I'm gonna butt in and ask where did you read it from?i've found a few links for online reading but i'd prefer to print it off, my eyes can't stand prolonged monitor reading and i don't have a PC at home at the mo, and all the online versions either have it split into pages or have english russian comparison on the same page and so i can't print one without the other...
