That, and because manwife is quite pale for a mixed race person, he gets teeth sucked at him for having dreadlocks. This hurts him, so it makes me FUCKING ANGRY. Even if he were white, if he's only allowed to have 'white' hair, like a crop or something, black people are only allowed to wear tribal dress. Basically, every civilisation up until very recently had a slave trade.
The reason that we think of slaves as black is purely because we know of that difference and because the US slave trade was predominantly African.

The reality is though that the slaves were transported by whites (the Manleys were a large name in slave trading) but that those men did nothing on the attaining front.

They simply set down in Africa and bought slaves from the locals who were invariably black themselves.

Slavery is shit, but it is not a race issue.
