Reminds me of one of the few entertaining bits from Family Guy.

..but we don't want to spend a lot of money.."
Where he has a dustbin for a leg, a taped on eye and a rake for an arm, or something.
Now THAT was entertaining.

as of now, she STILL isn't in theatre, and it may not be until later this evening or tomorrow now,
and they STILL don't know what it is, she's not holding up too well today, they've been injecting her with morphine now, which she hates cos she doesn't like needles, and they started having a conversation in front of her that it could be 'scary X' 'scary Y' or 'scary Z' as well as possibly being the appendix, without anyone actually knowing what it is, because they haven't done the f'in' procedure yet.
I'm at my wits end over this to be honest, and really really wanting to hit someone, because nobody seems to care whats going on, despite repeated - and polite - requests. the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing, and she's getting conflicting statements.
and it'll be the third night in a row she's had without food (not eaten since tuesday 5pm) and in severe agony with the pain.
hence the 2 hours sleep I had on and off last night is probably going to be repeated again tonight - yay!
MORE Quincy M.E. at 2 in the morning!

/and of course, our house doesn't have a land line phone connection upstairs so I'm now getting accustomed to using the sofa as a bed in case the phone goes downstairs because they can't (or rather, won't) be bothered to ring my mobile
/she asked them to ring me this morning to let me know about the theatre bit, after she saw the specialist, and they didn't bother.

NUTS was a doddle, someones head is gonna roll over this, or a stiff bollocking is going to be administered when this does get sorted. To be honest though, I just want her home, and safe and especially getting better :( May not get her back until saturday/sunday now :(
Grrrr!
/I'll go and watch 'Sicko' again now, and try and feel a bit better about the NHS

Your are right about the left hand/right hand problem. Unfortunately, the NHS is still trying to work out which is which.

the start of season 2 of MillenniuM, which I enjoyed years ago. So that kept me going for another 40 mins or so before I drifted away for a bit.

Some of the quiz programs are quite amusing for a short time...
"The question is, 'What have I got in my handbag?'"
"Hmmmmmm. Lipstick?"
"Sorry. The answer we were looking for was 'Large Hadron Collider'. Try again later."

You get any more info, drop me a line and I'll tell you what I know about scary xy or z. Can't believe she's not been sorted yet though, if they think it's a critical appendix, they need to sort her NOW. Where's she at, Norfolk & Norwich?

third night in f*cking row, she's in agony, morphine only, and a drip to keep fluids in, and all they've done is poke and prod her in the painful areas which has made her worse.
EDIT: She's just rung from the hospital bed. they've just this second come to get her to take her down to the theatre :/
*nervous*
