We did also make leather for
um...slightly odder customers. There was one customer who wanted an entire room upholstered in unfinished leather. I guess some people find that sort of thing quite sexy but without the varnish on it, it will stain really easily with any body fluids.

Not too bad.
Most of the 'smell' of leather is due to the chemicals put on to tan it and preserbe it.

Actually the smell is more from the chemicals used after tanning to make it soft and pliable and colour it.

I love it very much. My saddle stinks of saddlesoap and horse now.
