# you may be able to specify the static IP on the router and not have to hardwire it into the PC
mine does that

you need to reverse Port Out, which I believe is Starboard Home.

# I take it
it's a broadband router and it's the ISP IP that's dynamic? Or do you mean that your PC has a dynamic IP from a DHCP pool?

# Well your router
ought to deal with that. There should simply be the option to set up port-forwarding. The router will know what its own IP is and rebuild the firewall rules accordingly.
I don't know anything about Zone Alarms, but naturally you'll need to open the ports you need on your PC too.

The dynamic IP issue would only really affect DNS lookups for a domain name pointing to your IP. You can get around that with dynamic DNS services like dyndns.com

# yeah turn off all your windows/zone alarm firewalls until you get what it is working

portforward.com/routers.htm

just forward your ports and turn upnp on. if its bittorrent your doing.

your own computers i.p will probably be 192.168.0.2 or something. you will need to check.

Mind you, I joined the ISP when they were more tolerant of technically-minded people. I don't know if they offer it to new customers.
