well.... *puts nerd hat on*
Down in the Park was on the "Replica's" album, attributed to Tubeway Army, shortly after that Gary started recording under his stage name "Gary Numan" the song has been covered by a few people such as Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails.

huzzah!
I heard it as a Marilyn Manson cover, liked it, found out the original artist and bought "replicas" (best of all the concept albums" and then loudly derided Sugababes for lifting one track wholesale for "freak like me" until I saw them being interviewed and they said where they got it from and how greatt he original song was and then I watched the mighty boosh.
Did you know Gary Numan's a qualified pilot?

Oh yes.
I am one of the old school Numan fans, I have been since 1978 :-) Got all his stuff, and seen him in concert. I even like his modern stuff :-)
