there was a Mitchell and Webb sketch a while back about a marketing meeting at a toothbrush company, where they reckon the only way they can make more money is to convince people to brush their tongues.. Scientific-looking adverts with scottish women advising against the dangers of tongue infections

I asked some science guy on a radio show once why I always felt like throwing up after I brush my teeth.
Apparently as a smoker there is a tarry residue at the back of my throat that reacts with the toothpaste.

I guess I just have to make that small sacrifice in the mornings so that people don't flinch when I talk to them.
