Hanging off clocks in films
the use of someone hanging of a clock, from some bloke (before Harold Lloyd) to more recent version (such as the 70s 39 Steps with Robert Powell which is the only one I can remember).
There was a whole bunch of stuff about the metaphores involved...
There was a bit of John Woo doing Harold Lloyd tributes
but I wasn't really listening, was driving & talking on the phone at the same time (naughty!)
