B3ta Bash in Cornwall Easter 2010
Venue is confirmed as being the Rashleigh Arms in Charlestown.
I would advise those people planning on attending to think about accommodation sooner rather than later.
Try here or here.
I can find out about campsites and B&Bs.

We could all be dead by then.
I hope we aren't dead because I've never been to Cornwall. Woo!

I might just manage make it to the bash. A year should be enough time for forward planning...

and that's both things covered surely?
(, Tue 14 Apr 2009, 21:18, Reply)
Technically yes, but on Monday Ethelred found a link to midget wrestlers that you can hire for parties and corporate events. Which sounded like all kinds of fun.

This time I shall make more of a weekend out of it. Oh yes.

it does seem like people are interested in this idea, so a few things:
This is a trip to a county rather than a city, so if you can use/borrow/hire/share a car, life is going to be a lot easier. The more cars we've got, the better we can get around.
Getting to Cornwall at Easter can be very, very busy - if you can make it Thursday to Tuesday at least, then you'll be spared the worst of it all.
The location of the Saturday Bash is not definite - I might change it it to Truro if we're staying all over the place. I will be staying in the Lostwithiel/Par/St Austell/Fowey area simply because that's where I grew up.
DON'T PLAN ON STAYING IN NEWQUAY. It's an overpriced, tacky shithole.
Nearer the time, I'll post stuff to help with accommodation and travel and touristy things, so no need to worry about that stuff just yet - we've got a year!

Cornwall is lovely in the spring and I have family down that way. Do you plan on mass b3ta camping or b & b-ing?
(, Wed 1 Jul 2009, 22:36, Reply)
I imagine most people will end up staying in B&Bs, but if anyone wants to camp, I can probably find somewhere for that.
(, Thu 2 Jul 2009, 16:22, Reply)
I'm not camping if it's going to rain!
I used to camp in a village called Sticker I seem to recall.

Can you get a group injunction?

Twice as far away from me as Truro :P
The Old Ale house would be a great place for old bastard b3tans :P
(, Tue 21 Jul 2009, 14:34, Reply)
It's better for transport links and stuff and what better way for b3tans to celebrate me and the town of my birth.
If I move it, then let's discuss the venue together - it's a while since I lived in Cornwall so I'll need to know where's good :)
(, Tue 21 Jul 2009, 14:39, Reply)
personally. I Mean its a bit of a social dead end but I find there is less towny dicks there as there are in truro.
and I can stay back at the farm up the road :)
(, Thu 3 Sep 2009, 12:50, Reply)
I feel the same way and will try to do it there as that's where most of us will be staying, I think.
I'll start sorting stuff out soon.
(, Thu 3 Sep 2009, 17:34, Reply)
We're all a bunch of backwards farmers :P
Snozzle is shite I tell you :P
We should have it at my house. My house is the sex.
(, Thu 10 Sep 2009, 11:55, Reply)
I had to make a decision, so I've based it on where the most b3tans will be. St Austell is indeed a shit hole and should be abolished.
But Charlestown is a pretty little port, so people can
Get on your tractor and drive to us, you lazy sod.
