This is a normal post There's a "Best of Whizzer and Chips Annual"
out now, available only from Sainsburys. It's way too thin but it's only £3.99.

This is a normal post i used to read and re-read those comics
looking at how they drew everything and it totally influenced my style.
anything from BIG comic, monthly and fortnightly, buster, even beano and dandy really, I loved seeing how they were printed and stuff. I then moved on to old copies of oink! and now read Viz, it's funny how similar the drawing styles are in all of them. I'm sure if i did the research, there would be people who drew for most of them.

This is a normal post Oink was short-lived, wasn;t it?
There was a record stuck to the front of the first one. Can't remember what the song was on it but I remember doing a sads when I lost it..

This is a normal post it was indeed short lived.
i saw a complete set for sale on ebay for about £15, put a bid in, within minutes the set was withdrawn and sold individually for a bout a fiver each...

some of the contributors to the mag make for a good read, including lard from mark & lard. it was marketed as a viz for kids.

and yes, the oink song and the oink rap, found here:

This is a normal post Oink! was my absolute favourite as a kid.
When I get the chance to empty my Mum's attic and find my collection I'm doing a big blog on it.

Also worth noting is that Frank Sidebottom had a regular page.

.. who doesn't "get" Sidebottom? Really never saw what the point of him was and why people liked him.
