Adverts are fine. I guess what happens these days is, your data is so widely spread you get used to seeing adverts which are aimed at you - so you have a visceral reaction to adverts that contain Rruusseell Brands face and voice.

He may be a fridge.
But he's pretty much spot on.
I can't think of another way of saying the things he is saying, being said the way he is saying them, being said better.... erm.. saying?. Thomas did a good job - but then had kids and slowed right down. Cashed in? Dunno may wiki him.
It's all pretty eye opening and we all know about the stuff he spunks on about but he's right - it is unfair, it isn't the direction we should keep heading in.
I have no bright ideas, despite his dubious 'charisma' and bi-polar inducing character let him have his go. He aint gonna make things worse. unless he goes back to bheing the darkness frontman

If I dislike this guy, people might think I am some kind of advocate for a greater evil.
I agree with the guy, I presume, but I can't possibly bear to hear him tell me stuff I agree with.
