This is a normal post I just wrote this as a comment on that piece
I'm not entirely sure how long it will last there, given it's a bit brutal against the Guardian itself:

Gutted. I stopped reading the Guardian for a reason; it's nauseatingly politically correct 'right on' middle-class liberalism, and all the silly commentary that goes with that. But there's suddenly a gaping abyss between that and the Times and Telegraph. Sure, the Independent was guilty as the Guardian in publishing absolute drivel from time to time, and it's website is almost parody; especially that 100 section (written by teenagers?), but by and large had a solid ground base of writers and journalists. A shame to see it go. The Telegraph is simply to big for a rush hour tube train, the Times indescribably dull, lifeless, and boring, so back to the Guardian then. Or books if it's still the regressive-liberal BS it was in the nineties.

This is a normal post Ha! I noted the other day that the i
had more typos now than the Grauniad got a reputation for, but your point is entirely valid.
