Say what you like about the guy
He's just shown you an absolute masterclass on political manoeuvring. Beneath the bumbling surface he's a really shrewd operator and even after he was London's mayor for so long I think people are only just noticing that.

I'm not sure it was a masterclass when he clearly expected the vote to go the other way

This ^^^
He expected to lose, narrowly and then take over from Cameron in a years time. He now faces a situation were he has to deliver all the bollocks he promised during the campaign. Should be amusing when Cornwall, the North East and Wales realise that the money he guaranteed they would still get doesn't appear. Yay for democracy!

So if he lost, he'd have got in. If he won, he'd have got in.
You're right he's a bit rubbish at this.

The problem he now has is thus
If he had narrowly lost he wouldn't have to deliver all the bollocks they made up in the pub. He now does and that will not go down well with voters in 4 years time when a general election comes around and they have had time to realise it was all bollocks. A masterstroke indeed.

Boris is a cunt that's what he is
And as far as his "electorate" is concerned I'm not sure who's worse - the racists or the protest voters.

You read it here first
The EU elite are shitting themselves as the contagion spreads.
Boris is the new PM
EU invite Boris over for a chat
"Sweeping changes" regarding immigration are put forward
Boris comes back saying this is a game changer so before implementing article 50 we will have another referendum
Everyone is happy again and the UK remains as the UK with the sweatys cursing their luck

Can't they be sent of in droves to die in the Sudan in their tens of thousands of illness and savages for the Khedivate of Egypt?
You know, like last time the UK was great and truly independent.

When Boris said the result would not mean "pulling up the drawbridge"."
He assumes the hinge is on our side.
