This is a normal post Mmm
There are fuglier cars out there. Hello Vauxhall Mokka, Nissan Juke and that stupid Citroen with the inexplicable rubber mats stuck on the side.

This is a normal post Ah, Volvo. Overflowing ash trays.
and that particular fake leather which was hot to the point of melting if car was parked in direct sunlight a few minutes

This is a normal post Jeez - they totally missed the PV40!
Volvo would have been nothing in the North American market without that one - I still see a few driving around!

This is a normal post Their main problem these days,
is that by getting away from the box-on-wheels look, the cars now don't function very well as boxes-on-wheels.

Volvo Estates were super popular for the middle-class dad that wanted a family car which could on occasion function as a decent small van; that box-like shape, and MASSIVE boot aperture was perfect for this.

Weirdly, the nearest similar cars now are Jaguar X-Type estates, which are surprisingly inexpensive (compared to what you'd think... they're still not cheap), which manage to out-Volvo Volvo while in possession of a lot more poke in the engine and a much more attractive look.
Looks like they stopped making them for some reason.
