I don't have first hand knowledge of that
still, having acquaintances makes you one up on most of us. I personally haven't left my fallout shelter since the Cuban crisis.

I mean, I've heard he's like Hitler and all and that he'll destroy the world, but other than being a self-promoting, pain in the ass, I don't see the end of the world.

It wasn't me who called him a 'clear and present danger'
That was GWB's director of the CIA.
Trump's inability to concentrate on anything for more than 10 secs fills me with empathy but not so sure it's what's really needed in a commander in chief.
And cuddling up to Putin is not a big buy signal for me.
Still, you know best.

Yeah, a lot of Republicans hate him to death - especially those who would prefer a more "establishment" type.
Many acquaintances are wearing the #nevertrump badge and saying that 4-8 years of Hillary is better than a destruction of the party. I worry about people putting party before principle, however.
While boorish, I don't see the level of corruption/criminality from him. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/her-instincts-can-be-terrible-wikileaks-reveals-fears-and-frustrations-inside-clinton-world/2016/10/25/a6ceefdc-9ae0-11e6-a0ed-ab0774c1eaa5_story.html

Hmm
In fairness, if his campaign has lost congress for the republicans he'll be effectively neutered and spend the next four years disappointing his angry mob and tweeting self-aggrandising nonsense.
But where exactly is Clinton's corruption? - she and her husband have been under the spotlight since 1992 and the worst there has ever been pinned on either of them is Bill had a BJ in the oval office. And it isn't like he's the first president to have had that.
If she is corrupt and repeated ad nauseum inquiries have failed to pin jack shit on her, she'd making a fucking awesome president.

She and Bill have been incredibly astute. There has probably not been their equal since the Borgias.
And if they weren't so blatant about it, people likely wouldn't get bothered. The US has been big into Sunshine Laws, which require transparency to ostensibly prevent corruption. The whole email thing, was just one way to get around such laws - and they are federal laws.
It then ties into the pay-for-play for Bill's foundation: did they trade favors for contributions? There is a great deal of circumstantial evidence, and then the Wikileaks stuff. When you delete tens of thousands of emails of a non-secured account, when by law you shouldn't have said account, it raises a lot of questions.
If they are innocent of it all, they really made their life so much worse by choosing their own convenience (and arrogance) over the relative simplicity of following pretty basic rules.

It's interesting that Wikileaks has been conducting a campaign to try to smear Clinton,
with the kind of evidence which might usually scupper a presidential candidate's chances, and it has all just bounced off because only people voting for Trump actually care about that.
Because clearly very few people are actually FOR Clinton, they're mostly just against Trump.
She could probably kick a puppy live on CNN stating "I'm only doing this to see if most of you still hate Trump more than me!" and she'd still be better presidential material than Trump.

Stop equating a clearly qualified candidate with Donald Trump
I'm *amazed* that the emails thing is literally the worst that Republican muckrackers managed to dig up about Hillary. Seriously? That's it? "68-year-old isn't very tech-savvy?" Wow. Here's a Boingboing piece, linking to a longer Medium piece explaining what it does (and doesn't) signify in the grand scheme of things:
boingboing.net/2016/10/26/how-a-poorly-explained-mistake.html
Killer quote? "Does this forgive Clinton for having any classified data on her server? No. But she also wasn’t actively trying to use her email for that purpose, and she followed proper state guidelines with information she knew was sensitive."
On the other hand, though, here's perhaps a hundred examples of Trump's dangerously white-power racism, which (entirely in passing) includes plenty of what you might like to call "corruption/criminality":
https://www.reddit.com/r/EnoughTrumpSpam/comments/4r2yxs/a_final_response_to_the_tell_me_why_trump_is/?st=iur7i5wa&sh=291c0170
The USA has an obviously qualified woman candidate, standing against a man who keeps a book of Hitler's speeches by his bed. If you're falling over yourself trying to make this look like a difficult decision to make, it says more about you than about either of the candidates.

This is exactly it. Trump and his supporters keep repeating this one thing over and over.
Whereas you're spoiled for choice to even pick somewhere to begin with Trump's history.
The biggest joke out there is that as the Republicans have moved further to the right, the Democrats have moved further to the left. No, Bernie Sanders was not representative of the Democrats. They've all moved to the right; it's just the Republicans have gone so far right so fast they've crawled up each others' arses, and pushed out one colossal shit on the way.
Ooh, lunchtime...

It's a farce really, because it's only the Republican smearing of Obama,
blocking his every move in congress and drilling their supporters into blindly accepting every lie that has cut such a wide-open trail for someone like Trump to waltz down at his leisure. And now you see them running in panic as they've lost control of their own creation.
Bear in mind it was either Trump, or a guy who likes to cook bacon by wrapping it around the barrel of an assault rifle. And before that it was a man who believed in the power of magic underpants. Of course for Republicans it came down to a choice between 'kick out the Mexicans' or 'be ruled by Rafael Cruz y Díaz', and we can all see how that turned out...
