Hey the whole point of the Sterling was that it was based on the Sten.
Which was never intended to do anything other than spray bullets around like a pensioner's cock when he can't quite unzip in time. Because the idea was that it would be used at close quarters in a 'target rich environment'.
You want accuracy, get an SLR.

Still remember seeing Wild Geese in the cinema
My responsible father snuck me in to see it even though it was rated AA and I couldn't have been more than 7. Kind of liked it though I bet it hasn't aged well. Most of the mercs were so old they were more likely to die of underlying medical conditions.
